The day began with passing showers and a promise of a bright but breezy day. Kept us all awake when going for walkies! Good moods circulated and the ring set, decorated and the first order of sausages and bacon was on the go. Committee and Exhibitors began to trickle in and by 10:30 am, we were almost full force, with the usual unnamed suspect (and you know who you are Chris Lavery)!
Judging duties were in the expert hands and eyes of Mrs. Wilma Reid of Shanaz fame. She was accompanied by her delightful husband Kenny. Our own Mr. Ken Kennedy undertook the serious business of judging Junior Handling. Sadly we had more Puppies than Handlers.
By the time we were about to enter the Ring the usual happy buzz was well in force with conversation about all and everything in full voice. I'm happy to say we had a good entry and some new faces, including some members of the public. The kitchen kept us in good cheer and alas the last slice of Pavlova slipped north too early.
At Shows end, Wilma treated some of us to tips on Presentation and Grooming. I'll be watching one dog in particular next weekend in the ring, as the demonstration on one of its front legs was fantastic, with the other to be done as homework.
If that dog is run around the ring presenting just that side, there will PICTURES TAKEN!!!
